brunch with friends in Helsinki

Eating a brunch with friends is the best.

island

 Nothing.
 To explore.
From the sea.
I wish this summer would never end.

two in the country side

We had two weeks just for two.
We headed for the country side away from big city.
We saw the Chagal glass windows.
We had tea in a lovely cottage.
We visited a church straight out of British murder mystery.
We walked thru meadows and gardens.

pretty in pink

There where pretty girls in pink dresses at my sons cousins birthday.
Now I see my own fondness for flower prints comes from
spending the day with lego ninjas and cops and robbers.

holiday back

We visited Seurasaari and its old fashioned houses
in Helsinki where we are spending our holiday.
My feelings are changing all the time now that I am a tourist in my own country.
I try to find beauty and peace in single moments
and not to think big questions like where I am (from).
I am lucky to have the best travel companion.
Here he is playing bunnies. He was happily tired after.

new home

This is our new home on the same street.
 I love the kitchen.
 Bathroom is modern.
The whole house is rather romantic.
 My sons room is green.

a career in making

This spring and summer I have been a nanny. Now lovely miss S has flown away with her family, but a new thought about what to do with my life has stayed.
I must admit that when I was looking for a job, I was just looking something really easy and something that could be combined with my son being only three hours a day in the nursery. My Seattle friend C said that I could always be a nanny.
And you know what? I am actually pretty good with kids and I do like it. So my new ambitious career move is to become a childminder. Now I am taking some basic courses on childminding to be able to take care of children in my own home. And hopefully in November we will have a new morning girl with us.
