Birthday Mania is why I never get anything done in October.

Last month was my son´s birthday. Every year I tell myself that this year I will not make it big. Then I spend a month planning and another one getting over the party. This year it was two parties. First one was a Minecraft party. I made a map and we made together some swords. The cake was my sons head in Minecraft design.

The second partys theme was Olympics. We had funny sports and a lego olympic cake. It was great fun planning the parties.  My son was helping all the way and making decisions. He decided that the party bags should have apples and pears in them. He chose from his lego figures a toy for each child. As you can see in the pictures, it was a real homemade look I was going for.

My so was sick on a school day. We made salt dough and decarated it.

the ugly beaty of easter branches

At Easter time we make branches to wish people happiness for the coming year. I have faitfully restored the ones from last year and now set them up a new. Our ones are hybrids of the traditional one, since finding wild willows is harder here in London. For a reason, my husband is appaled by our Easter decorations. Luckily, I share with my son a view that sometimes ugly is beautiful.

Virvon varvon

 It is Palm Sunday and we made Easter Branches.

My sons Easter decorations where little bit more unconventional. 

He made a parrot egg and a king egg.

We brought Easter Branches to friends dressed as wizzards and witches.

We recited childrens poem Virvon varvon to them to wish happy Easter.

12 elf factory

 Spend the afternoon in the elf factory doing crafts.

 Yes, we where wearing hats.

Tomorrow I can hopefully escape from the factory and see some Christmas London.

5 something to read

I bought these magazines for myself to get in to the Christmas mood. After reading them I can use them to wrap presents. I am also listening a Christmas radio.  An hours in the afternoon just to work on my blog and listen to Christmas song is the best.

My sister-in-law is getting candy wrappers.

For my son I made a Tree Fu Tom outfit. 

 I mended a sock for a person who did not wan´t any present.

There is a baby to be born at Christmas. 

I hope the hat I made is warm and comfortable on the new baby.

This year we made and send some cool Christmas elves to family and friends.
