Japanese Garden in Roihuvuori

easter chicks

The reason for our visit in Helsinki was a lovely little girl just born couple of days ago.
Easter was filled with girliness with three little princesses.
What a change for my ordinary life with a male dominant household!

Spring in Helsinki

I woke up to a white world.
 It is spring in Helsinki.

ice lolly and a new bike

In my memories spring comes with
riding your new bike fast on rattling little pebbles.
Do you remember the taste of spring in the first ice lolly?

My friends are still sledging in Finland, but spring is here in London.
Welcome spring, I have been waiting for you!

Marseille

We were in Marseille in April.
 It was cold.
There were only few people.
There were slippery slopes with breath taking views.
 There were most beautiful colours;
violet, blue-greens and sandy tones.
We got lost in a small town of Aubagne.
We had lunch at the Borely casttle.

the ugly beaty of easter branches

At Easter time we make branches to wish people happiness for the coming year. I have faitfully restored the ones from last year and now set them up a new. Our ones are hybrids of the traditional one, since finding wild willows is harder here in London. For a reason, my husband is appaled by our Easter decorations. Luckily, I share with my son a view that sometimes ugly is beautiful.

Easter at home in W

We took our wellies and headed to the Marshes.
Our traditional Easter egg hunt was a succes.
Relaxing days!
