nature near Walthamstow

On the way back from Finland I realized that I miss nature and trees.
Marshes are the best part of living in East London.
These pictures where taken couple of weeks ago
at the old water clearing factory near where we live.
But it is still endless summer in London and my son is happy to wear shorts.

street party

We had a party on our street.
I put on my prettiest frock. This is me in my English disguise.
I baked cinnamon rolls. They where almost like back in Finland.
I ate at least four of these pies.
Everybody hab made something and everything was delicious.
There was a quiz about Walthamstow,
and my team won.
 There where face paintings,
a firetruck and fun and games.
Kids had ice cream.
There was a lady singing with a beautiful voice.
We left soon after this picture was taken.
I could hear her voice singing when I was at home making dinner.

what I like

I made a really tasty pie. There where potatoes, nuts, cheese, eggs and thyme in it.
I spend an afternoon alone and got some diary writing done in the sunny garden.

living with a small big boy

My son is almost four years old.
He says his big, but luckily I sometimes see the small boy.
Here is Börjis taking a nap
in my sons new Ikea bed with Finnlayson elephant sheets.
Every evening my son watches Fireman Sam.
We all know the song by hart.
It is good to have heroes.

cosmo the cat

We have a cat, well sort of. This is Cosmo the cat and she lives next door. We feed and cuddle her when she comes to our yard. My son is ever so happy. I am happy too, with our sort of a cat. And Cosmo is happy since we give her nice cat nibbles.
