a career in making

This spring and summer I have been a nanny. Now lovely miss S has flown away with her family, but a new thought about what to do with my life has stayed.
I must admit that when I was looking for a job, I was just looking something really easy and something that could be combined with my son being only three hours a day in the nursery. My Seattle friend C said that I could always be a nanny.
And you know what? I am actually pretty good with kids and I do like it. So my new ambitious career move is to become a childminder. Now I am taking some basic courses on childminding to be able to take care of children in my own home. And hopefully in November we will have a new morning girl with us.

Street Party

We had our street party on a sunny Sunday.
We spent the whole day on our street with our neighbours.
I made blueberry pie and it got all eaten.
C and D made some yummy savory pies.
Our street is the best and it makes living here in London so much nicer.

addicted to laundry

What is the weather like?
Is it a good day for laundry?
Laundry makes me happy.

a cupboard of possibility

This cupboard was an impulse buy from the Stoneydown Folk Festival. I have for sometime wanted something like this for my new home. It is still in our old living room waiting the new home. All the things I could fill it up with!

un pique-nique

We have had such lovely weather. (Don´t I sound English, writing that!)
My son wants to have a picnic every day at our back garden.
Today it was nothing fancy, just chicken nuggets and toast.
