I got for Valentine´s these flowers from the men in my life.

This beautiful spring nail polish (the new black) came in the mail also at Valentine´s.

My dear friends had had a good girls night in Helsinki. 

I had a donut and bought a scubahoodie (lululemon),

in yellow.

Then I made delicious roasted pumpkin lentil curry soup.

Women´s Dinner at Cs place

 I had a lovely women´s dinner at Cs place. 

 We ate curry and drank wine. 

We talk about  books and Downton Abbey. 

We discussed about the feminine and masculine.

We had a ceremony thinking of our lives.

 I got my answers from angel cards. 

Spring was in the feel and in the daffodils.

We had beautiful weather here. It felt like end of May in Finland. I can only smile.

This is my sons favorite place, rocks to conquer and and a tree to clime. 

We are two foxes living in that tree.

My son got exited about Valentine´s Day. He insisted we make cards. So we send a lot of cards.

At home we have had discussions about friend. How can one get friends? Who are our friends? How to maintain a friendship? 

Making friends takes time and effort. And you never know how a friendship develops. I am happy when my friends surprise me with e-mails, post, telephones and messages. They are in my mind and my dreams even when I haven´t seen them in months or years. I am thankful for the unexpected joy and new thoughts they bring me.  Happy Valentine´s Day to all of my friends!

takeout the whole week

 We were sick the whole week.

 We have been eating takeout from nearby:

Soup, feta pasty and a quiche from Grateful Bread, 

Soda from PCC,

Real Change magazine for reading in those dull hours.

 I got hooked up on donuts from from Hot Pot Donut

 To get rid of the cold we sipped on Annie Chun´s soups

 with some mushrooms, carrots, leek and cabbage.

Delicious as it was,

I am happy to cook for real now that we are no more sick.

 When we woke up this morning there where chickens next door to us. 

it is raining today

It rains a lot in Seattle. Sun is always a happy surprise here. I got new rain gear here. Jacket and pants are from REI, a big shop with only outdoor clothing. Hat is from a shop we visited by accident just before Christmas. When it is raining hats are better than hoods. I felt so stylish in my new outfit. Looking at the pictures it does still look like a rain suit. My sons equipments are from Finland (Reima pants, Didriksons jacket and Rukka hat), except for his mittens. They are from Hatley. I mention all of these shops, because it is so difficult to find nice, endurable and comfortable clothes for rainy day anywhere. Now we are ready for rain!

We went to Craigdarroch Castle Historic House Museum. 

It was just like out of Anne of Green Gables books. 

I wanted to twirl in one of those dresses myself.
