busy with the Follow the fellow exhibition

Here at Murray Edwards College in Cambridge I will have an exhibition showing my photos starting next Saturday. With two other artist, Genevieve Guetemme and Elke Papp, we have been planning this over two years. It is great to see that the day is  almost finally here. The exhibition is called Follow the Fellow and in it we tell the story of what it is like to move for love. Moving is not always easy, but a roller coaster ride of feelings, as you can see in  my blog. Genevieve and Elke have a brilliant website Follow the Fellow about the whole experience of following.

beauty

At Kenwood House the trees where in bloom.
The beauty made me hold my breath.
It was so sunny.
We took our shoes out
and had an ice cream.
There was this gentleman in his hiking gear.
Kenwood house was out of a Jane Austen novel.
We had a picnic looking at the view over Hamstead Heat to the City.

Saturday Night Disco

My son had his first disco. It was held to celebrate Saint Patrick´s Day.
It was my first disco in a long while.
It made me nostalgic to the garage discos we had growing up.

building huts

We where of to Epping Forrest.
There where good climbing trees.
We saw some wonderful stick huts.

Boys decided to built their own.

My son found a feather for his hat.
The forrest was magical.
We ate at the Butlers Lodge.
I had some yummy ginger beer.
The vegetarian option was the best!
This was the view from Queen Elizabeths Lodge.

holes and buns

I have one of those weeks where everything goes wrong or at least it feels like it. I have a hole in my jeans, luckily it is a fashion statement this spring. Our boiler broke down and we called and called for someone to come and prepare that. I had no idea how I should react to empty promises made in the phone. Finally somebody came and fixed it. Now my only worry is, that I send recklessly really important papers to the wrong address to Her Majesty´s Revenue and Customs.
This week it was the beginning of Lent.
Tuesday it was pancake day in England.
We ate hot cross buns with whipped cream and jam,
like the tradition in Finland is.
This week sucks,
but luckily there are buns
and friends who let you shower at their place.
