It is the Independence Day of Finland. I am watching a Swedish speaking program from the Finnish Broadcasting Company while being a simultaneous interpreter for my son from English to Finnish and back.

December nature in bloom

December weather here in London always a surprises me.
It is mild and the nature is in bloom.
The berries and brances look like Christmas decorations.

We can´t have a Christmas tree in our house this year.
So here is my imaginary living room with a lush green Christmas tree.
In real life this is at the Geoffrey Museum.

Colour me Christmas

A day I have been waiting for, the first of December.
I can finally start my picture advent calendar.
Chapel at the Geoffrey Museum in Hoxton
is a perfect place to start this 24 day journey.
This is an exercise in finding
 stillness, beauty and joy.
I am hopeful in my anticipation.

Olympia park with best of friends

When we were traveling around the wold, one of my worries was, that my son will not have a best friend. I am happy to say, that he now has good friends. As I listen their conversations, I am transported to a new land of 6 year olds. It is peculiar, what is funny to them and what things they take serious.
