Walking the Victoria Line

We went walking with my friend Tania. Taking photographs of London helped me to settle here. In the end it became an exhibition to the E17 Art Trail and I made it into a blog. Go and have a look at Walking the Victoria Line

my birthday

It is my birthday today. 

I asked my husband to take a picture of me in bed just woken. 

Have I changed from my profile picture taken 7 or 8 years ago?

 

For my birthday we went to see the America after the Fall exhibition at the RA.

Here I am as a farmers wife after Grant Wood´s American Gothic.

I am celebrating my birthday with these flower.

We did printmaking. My son wanted to learn about symmetry. 

I was so into potato printing that 

I made some extras for the Childrens Center I volunteer at.

Then I got to do some printing of my own.

The reason for our visit in Helsinki was a lovely little girl just born couple of days ago.

Easter was filled with girliness with three little princesses. 

What a change for my ordinary life with a male dominant household!

How happy can a place make you? 

I am visiting a house where there is room for my art and my thoughts. 

I wake up in the morning and have nothing else to do but art. 

I am surrounded by old fashioned beauty and books from my girl years.

I am starting to remember how it was to be me.
